This picture was taken two years after the other
pictures of this room. We've moved the fern onto the coffee table, after
the twig table met with an unfortunate accident,
and eliminated our television set after realising we never watched it.
The futon - a cast-off from my aunt Jacque - has its ugly cushions
covered by a pale blue sheet and a piece of batik fabric brought
back from Thailand by Forest Gouin. The cushions are home-made.
The stuffed ghost in front of the closet door was liberated one Halloween by
Marc. There is a Ikea lamp covering the bare bulb that originally hung
from the ceiling.
The glass door leads to the second-storey roof, where we line-dry clothes.
Marc built a cat ladder leading off the roof so that our kitten Olly
can come and go.
